Up for bid is a recent Estate Auction find, an Antique 1920’s Art Deco Natural Lapis 10k Hand Engraved Solid White Gold Men’s Ring. This HEAVY 8.2 Gram (0.29 Ounce) Almost 1/3 Ounce Antique 1920’s Art Deco 10k Solid White Gold ring is set with a Fantastic 16×12.5mm Natural Lapis Gemstone that is Beautifully Polished. This Lapis is of the HIGHEST QUALITY and is a DEEP RICH BLUE with nice luster & Beautiful Tiny Golden Flecks of Pyrite on the Surface. This is all natural Lapis that is not color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. This is extremely high quality Lapis. Lapis Lazuli was once used to manufacture blue artistic paints before 1834. Many of the worlds masterpieces we painted using lapis based blues. This high quality lapis is only found in Afghanistan and Egypt. Many ancient cultures believed that lapis enhanced self-expression. This Lapis is an Rectangular Domed Cabochon Cut with Beautifully Sloped Edges! Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This Lapis is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This Solid 10k White Gold Setting has great Hand Engraved & Milgrained Details on the Shoulders of the Ring. Milgrain edging is a beaded pattern that resembles the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler’s hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. Regarding Ring Sizing: Be wary of any online seller that offers sizing of a ring before it is shipped to you. Due to differences in measuring devices and the way certain types of rings fit these rings should only be sized in person by your local jeweler. Sizing by your local jeweler is relatively inexpensive and you will have a ring that properly fits your finger. All size 9 rings are not the same. The ring may fit on a mandrel and measure as a size 9 but the way the ring is made, the way the ring has been enlarged or reduced, and the finger type you have may make it fit like an 8 or 10 or worse. Have your sizing done in person for a proper fit.

The tall measurement is the distance from the bottom or shank of the ring to the middle peak of the gemstone most easily measured when wearing the ring and placing the hand flat on the table and measuring the height of the ring from the table. The wide measurement is the width of the ring from outside to outside at the widest point when looking at the ring from the top. The rise from the finger measurement is the height of the ring from the finger to the peak of the gemstone when worn.
