Patented September 28th, 1897, this Baston Sketching Case comes complete with W & L. E. Gurley leather pouch. The instrument is engraved “Model of 1902” & “W. & L. E. Gurley, Troy NY”
This instrument has a leather wrist strap on one side for Surveying via horseback, everything seems to be in good shape and complete. Markings on the case and stickers on the back indicate this instrument was used by the United States National Park Service.
