This is a great playing radio, model 2015, my favorite to restore etc. It has 6 tubes (AA6). The advantage of this radio is that it has a RF amplifier stage which provides great volume. There are no deep scratches or cracks, just some light scratches that occurred over the years. As you can see, I took the pictures in natural light so you could see how pretty the case is. Another feature of this radio is the tone control. Similar radios don’t have a tone control at all and if they do have a tone control it is not as good as this radio. I am thinking that some people discount a Silvertone because it was marketed by Sears but it was manufactured by some big company like Stewart-Warner for Sears and plays just as well if not better that a comparable Zenith. The cross hatch on the LH side is very attractive, and so is the dial with the gold trim.. I replaced any tube that was weak, changed all the paper and electrolytic capacitors, cleaned the controls, replaced the dial lamp and did a alignment. The cord was replaced sometime in the past. I will wrap it with four layers of bubble wrap to ensure it arrives undamaged, but I can’t guarantee that if it gets thrown around during shipping that a tube doesn’t become unseated.
