is an old, solid steel ships cannon.It appears to be in good condition for it’s age but is very dirty from sitting on a garage shelf for decades.It’s got a nice patina and is rusty but the rust isn’t deep and is surface rust only. It should clean up nicely. It is mounted on a wood base that has rope wound around the carrage & cannon to secure it in place. The cannon barrel measures approximately 7 1/2″ long and is approximately 1 1/8″ in diameter at it’s widest point. The hole for the cannon ball is about 1/2″- in diameter. Overall dimensions are 9″ x 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. The barrel is stamped Black Powder Only. It weighs approximately 3 lbs on my bathroom scale.
