This auction is for a vintage glass lightning rod ball of amethyst/purple glass, in a quilted pattern. This piece is beautiful.
There are no makers marks that I’ve found on this.
The measurements are 5.25″ from top to bottom, and about 5″ wide. The opening at either end is about 1.5″ across.
There’s some staining (burn?) on one end of the lip, and some very light chips on the outer edge. The opposite collar and lip are basically gone entirely (see photo).
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW BEFORE BIDDING!!!
THANK YOU!!!!
And PLEASE, PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU NEED ADDITIONAL PHOTOS OR ARE
UNSURE OF SOMETHING!
If for some reason, you are unhappy at the end of this
transaction, PLEASE contact me before leaving anything but POSITIVE
FEEDBACK! There are some things out of my control, but I will do whatever
is in my power to make your experience a positive one! Please read
everything below! Thank you!
1) Did
you read the entire description and look at all the pictures?
Please do so before submitting a query.
The answer might already be there.
However, make sure you ask you’re unsure of BEFORE bidding or
winning the auction. Make no
assumptions, I’m trying to be as honest and descriptive as I am able for each
auction, but if it’s something you collect/are an expert with, you may need a
detail checked into; in that case, PLEASE, please ASK before bidding!!!!
2)
I DO NOT MAKE MONEY ON SHIPPING. It’s actually USPS that calculates
postage for you – not me. What
you are invoiced is the actual cost of the postage- you are not charged for
packing materials. Please do not
send me accusatory emails asking why something costs so much, etc. I do not make a profit on
shipping. I just want the item to
arrive safely to you so we’re both satisfied.
3) For
International I ONLY use International Priority Mail! This protects you – as the buyer, and
me – as the seller. It includes
tracking and insurance.
Don’t ask me to ship it the “cheap way” or “the cheapest way
possible”. internationally does constitute
risk for sellers. I am doing this
to protect both us, the money, and the item. This is also a safeguard to “find” your item in case it’s
been delayed in customs.
4) 90%
of the time, I will combine on shipping.
Things that are both delicate and heavy might be an exception. (IE: Collectibles, Glass pieces, etc.) Please double check with me. I just want things to arrive safely.
5) Do
not assume anything about the item.
If you’re unsure of something regarding the item, e-mail me. I do not accept returns – all sales are
final!!!
6) I
accept Paypal and I expect payment with in 2 days – 48 hours! If it’s an item you really want
but will be unable to pay for “x” number of days, email me. I’m actually very reasonable and nice –
but because of high volume, I need a quick turn around.
7) If
you’re going to hold me responsible for shipping time once the item leaves my
possession – for example, it says my post office accepted your package on 1/3 –
but for whatever reason, that package doesn’t get to you until 1/16 – then
don’t bid. I am not the USPS. I have no control over shipping times once a package is out of my
hands. It is unfair and
unreasonable to do so. Every item
that ships includes tracking information, and once it’s into the USPS system
there is nothing I can do expedite shipment.
8) I
have a 3 business day handling time.
This leaves me an extra day or two in case something happens, like
waiting for supplies (bubble wrap, boxes, et al), family emergency, etc. However, 99% of the time your item will
ship within 24 hours.
9)
time is calculated from the time you pay – not from the time the s.
10)
International Buyers – Please Note:
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not
included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the
buyer’s responsibility.
Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these
additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
