This is a metal Quaker State Motor oil can display rack or stand. I believe it to be from the 1940 ‘s but I could be wrong and would appreciate it if anyone can date it for sure for me. Please email me if you can.
At any rate, there are no dents or bends in the metal. Some of the paint on the shelves is worn however the sign is in . I will disassemble for shipping, to keep the cost down, unless you plan on picking it up here in NE PA. It is all bolted together. No welds to worry about. The dimensions are as follows: Overall height from top of sign to floor is 37″. The shelves stand 27″ tall with a 3″ space at the top before the sign which is 7″ tall. The sign measures 7″ tall X 20″ wide. There are 4 shelves each measuring 12 1/2″ deep X 20″ wide. There is a 6″ space between each shelf. All shelves have folded edges. This is a real nice piece and in remarkable condition for its age especially the sign on top. Tag on the side indicates it was manufactured by Ernst, Inc. advertising displays, Sharon Pa. but I do not know when. (no zip code)
