Unusual Fine ANTIQUE 1800’s Georgian Portrait Miniature of Gent ~ Locket Pendant
Item Description Antique 1800’s, Georgian, finely painted portrait miniature of a gent. The portrait is finely painted on natural panel and contained with its original oval gilt/pinchbeck locket, complete with fitted leather exterior case. The miniature measures 2 & 3/8 inches by 2 inches approx. Not including hanging loop. The locket originally had a further front panel, this has become detached, but is present with the miniature. It has been engraved with initials.
Condition; The condition is good used antique order. There is as mentioned above wear to the front panel of the locket. Some dust particles and foxing beneath the glass. The exterior case has marks, holes and scuffs. Please see photos.
