Union Mfg. Co X No.4 Plane
This is a completely original plane with all correct parts. Toe is stamped Union X No. 4. Has the smooth bottom. Casting has Patent date PAT. 12.8.03. located next to the tote. Union name cast on the other side of tote.. No chips cracks or discoloration in either the tote or front knob. Tote and knob have scuff marks but no deep dings Japanning is at least 75 %. Cutter is nearly if not full length and sharp and has the appropriate Union Mfg. stamp. . The chip breaker does have some corrosion that will clean up nicely. Casting has no chips, crack or pitting. Mouth is original size with no chips or cracks.. No owner’s initials or name.
Mechanically, this plane is in fine working condition.
