This is a very nice antique souvenir spoon from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, probably from around 1895 or so. More information, including weight, below.
The goldwashed bowl is hand-engraved with a detailed scene of the “Masonic Temple, Stevens Point, Wis.”
The spoon itself has a nice beaded edge pattern.
Length: It is about 5-3/8″ long.
Engraving: No engraving, other than the bowl.
Maker’s marks: It is marked “Sterling” with the BW hallmark for Barstow and Williams, a company that was out of business by about 1904.
Condition: Very good. It has a tiny bit of very light surface scratching, not much. It has a very tiny wave in the handle, which happened sometimes when the spoon was braced for engraving.
Weight: It weighs about 12.0 grams or .42 ounce (.38 Troy oz.) on my digital point scale.
