This knife for auction is a United States manufactured original antique Russell Barlow, 3 3/8″ closed, with the old Smoothbone (cattle bone) scales.
The Spear blade is stamped on the front tang with “RUSSELL”. The bolsters are fluted, and stamped with the trademarked Russell logo which features the Arrow going through the “R”.
We bought this antique Russell Barlow in a collection and as you can see, it has bee used and carried. If you’ve always wanted an original Russell Barlow to use and carry, but don’t want to take a mint example out of the collection, this is THE knife for you as the Spear blade has great “walk and talk” snap.
