Richard Schultz Petal Side Table for repair Knoll
Iconic “Petal” side table designed by Richard Schultz for Knoll. This is a newer Richard Schultz Furniture production table, about 6 years old. Measures 19″ tall x 16″ in diameter, painted metal frame with oiled wood petals.
Table is being sold as-is, one petal stem is broken as shown. It was damaged when I acquired it, I re-glued the petal stem several times with various products but it’s always snapped back off eventually. My last repair was the most successful using JB Weld, that lasted close to a year before I stupidly lifted the table using the bad petal and broke it off again. I figure it’s time to pass this on to someone clever enough to make a permanent repair. The table is otherwise in very good condition, you’ll need to file off all of the residue from my repair attempts and I notice some very light stray glue on the detached wood petal.
