Kroehler 93B Ornate Wood Tube Radio

Offered up for auction is this seldom seen Kroehler model 93 Cathedral tube radio made by the KROEHLER MFG. CO.. Radio is similar in style the the Ozarka + Viking and has the copper chassis detail. This rare radio has a great ornate cabinet and speaker grill details, shape, and symmetrical design. The unique styling of this cathedral model would make this radio a truly beautiful addition to any collection once restored.
The wooden cabinet is structurally sound but in need of a complete restoration. The solid wood cabinet has splits(see photos) with cracking + patches done to the applied “leaf”detail on the bottom edge of radio. Finish seems to have been redone at some point and is not original. Please view all detailed photos below as they are considered part of the listing description. This radio would be an excellent restoration project as it is uncommon to find this model.
Speaker is missing and not included in the sale. The radio retains its original knobs, copper chassis and grill work(re-painted). The dial scale is great condition and original. The gold patterned grill cloth is not original and has no holes or tears. Radio has the original manufacturers tag on the chassis and cabinet.
This stately radio measures approximately 15.5″ Wide x 18″ High x 9.75″ Deep and is very heavy.
This set is sold “as-is & untested”, the chassis seems complete, ROLA speaker is missing. Set is being sold as a “non-working” vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
Payment is due within 3 days of close of the auction. Radio is being sold “As-Is”. Return will only be accepted because of my listing error. I want my buyers to be happy and make every effort to list items with proper descriptions and photos.

This large and heavy radio will be carefully packed and shipped UPS Ground Insured for a flat fee of $85 – if it less I will reimburse difference.
