ANTIQUE CDV PHOTOGRAPH
Sad and poignant antique black and white CDV photograph measuring about 6-1/2" wide by 4-1/4" tall. Featuring an ornate woven wicker baby carriage laid out with an angelic baby girl, she is dressed in long christening gown and holds a small bouquet of flowers – another bouquet rests nearby. Child is beautiful with blond curls covering her head. Posed as if sleeping, she is propped up on angled pillow to better show her angelic face and complete form.Condition is very nice with no tears or holes – there is a tiny amount of wear in the upper left corner that does not impact the image, several tiny faint spots and light water staining on the edges of the cardboard backing – back bears the hand written names "John and Laura" – guessing the parents. Wonderful and moving post mortem CDV for any collection or display.
