This is a STUNNING c1904 Antique Edwardian 12k Rose Gold Filled and Amethyst Paste Bangle with a HUGE central Oval stone that is beautifully faceted …there are scrolls in the shape of a carved Hearts and Fleur De Lys and either side of the hearts ….
..This islovely Etruscan repousse work flanking these designs.
It is made by FINBERG MANUFACTURING Co reknown for quality gold fill from Times Past and is marked with the makers mark inside the bangle. .

This is in lovely antique condition..considering its vast age !!! THe Huge Amethyst paste stone may be a genuine stone as it was used frequently by jewellers of this calibre… and it is around 30 + carats in size ! Just the stone measures 2.3cm or just under 1″ long by 3cm or 3/8″wide..

This is antique ROSE GOLD color that ANTIQUE SOFT PINK ROSE GOLD color so highly sought after… ..The front motife is very Art Nouveau and is a slight more buttery yellow hue.. for a subtle contrast.. the stone is approx 30 carats.. and a rich deep purple shade. The stone is set with the point at the back..so when you look at it. it looks like the pools of light .. like a purple looking glass ..and the light refracts off the facets which i tried to capture..
It will fitthe average to larger wrist. . I have a 6 1/2″wrist and i can wear it alightly higher on the wrist.. i dont need to undo it to get it over my hand.. . . It measures 18cm or 7 “” inside but due to its very oval shape will fit a wrist up to 7″ ..its 6.6cm by 5.6cm across .!

This is Circa 1905 by design and styling..possibly earlier
These bangles are extremely collectable and highly sought after.
Although not stamped for gold content the outer surface tests positive for 12k and is either heavy gold fill or gold shell.. .. .. and is marked with makers name FM & Co and they produced bangles of extreme high quality .,mainly gold shell bangles . The MAKER denotes the quality of the jewellery from days gone by…
.Prior to 1907 carat gold was not required to be hallmarked.
DESCRIPTION & SIZING
The HUGE oval center stone is Cushioncut. It is bezel set and a rich purple color.. a wonderful compliment to the rose gold filled band….The top and bottom scrollwork has beautiful fine beading. The side repousse scrollwork has the large stylized HEARTS on either side. ..and little Fleur Des Lys..very ELEGANT
The front design measures 6cm or app 2 1/4″ across and is app 3cm or 1 3/16″ wide at widest point.. … The stone is HUGE and measures 2.3cm or just under 1″ in length by 1cm or 3/8″ and is approx 30 carats
The bangle has a push button clasp and it closes with a crisp click….The stone has a few tiny fine surface scratches and a little bit of edge wear on the top facet….but this is amazing for its age.. The repousse scrollwork design has been resoldered on the front but it looks to be done a very long time ago.. you can see slight silvering in the scrolls either side of the stone..
This weighs over 29 grams an lovely substantial weight… due to the amount of gold in it… which further adds to its appeal !
