Wow! Here is a really nice rare Antique Silhouette made on an Antique Tintype plate. I really don’t know the process of how this was made but it is very cool, I’ve never seen one like it. The tin plate measures 3 3/8″ x 2 1/8″. The whole framed piece measures 3 7/8″ x 2 3/8″. The whole piece is in very good condition with the original paper frame. There is such fine detail in the picture. There is minor wear as shown in the pictures. The back has an original paper seal on it. The tin plate has some kind of coating and the Silhouette is somehow etched exposing the tin plate. There is a name in pencil on the bottom front. It says “Merrick Phelps.” If anyone has any information on this piece i’d like to know what the actual name of the process is. Please email and don’t miss out on this awesome piece!!!!!!!!!!!!
