Fantastic 1901 14k Gold Elgin Hunting Case Pocket Watch with No Reserve!
This is definately the GOOD Stuff! A wonderful ca. 1901 Elgin Pocket Watch! The watch has a stem set, stem wind, American Waltham Watch Co., unmarked jewel movement. The movement measures appx. 29mm in diameter. The watch is running smoothly. The case is marked “Rou U.S. Assay 14k” and ” 14k”.The case has a nice ornate design and tons of exquisite detail including with front and back the same!!Virtually no sign of wear! The dial is white with gold painting and very ornate with subsidiary second hand and black Roman numerals and no crazing.The hands are an ornate gilt design. Serial number is 10,240,xxx dating the piece to 1901 but it is hand engraved on the inner plate “Beryl Gardner Aug 7, 1903”. A nice solid piece! One of the true classics!
