Offered in this sale is an antique Staffordshire ironstone china flow blue octagonal covered sugar bowl decorated with the OREGON pattern that was made by TJ & J Mayer circa 1840s. It is marked on the underside of the base with a blue company stamp which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. It measures roughly 7 1/2″ tall to the top of the cover knob x 6 1/4″ in across – handle to handle. This is one of five pieces of early flow blue from a single owner collection that I am listing for sale individually (see 7th image). If you are interested in more than one piece I do offer combined shipping which saves on postage fees. The condition of the piece offered in this sale is very good. There is an almost invisible highly professional repair to a chip on one corner of the upper rim which most people would probably miss, otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration.
