MAGNIFICENT ANTIQUE FRENCH THE RITZ PARIS DAMASK LINEN TABLECLOTH CREST & CROWNS

I would love to know the secret to photographing white damasks as it drives me to distraction trying to capture the images!! I ca see the details wonderfully majestic by eye – but the camera doesn`t want to know!!!
This is a stunning quality antique French linen damask tablecloth from THE RITZ in PARIS. It is a fine linen weave with a luxurious silky feel making it totally tactile- it exudes quality. The design is simply stunning!! The centre of the cloth carries the RITZ crest topped with a lions head and his paws splayed artound the shield. Above the crest is a magnificent crown and below the crest a banner that reads: HOTEL RITZPARIS 48 The first border from the centre is a classical scrolled confection with shell cartouche corners. Just Inside each shell cartouche carner there sits a magnificent crown with an entwined monogram and laurel leaf garland. The outer edge border is a larger version of the border above again with the shell corner cartouches. Overall a simply stunning and very regal display full or aristocratic splendour. The cloth is in wonderful condition having been folded away for many years and protected from the light. The measurements are: 6 feet 5″ (196cms) by 6 feet 7″ (201cms) There are no marks, stains or repairs and the cloth will simply need a quick launder to freshen it up after storage as it has pale folding lines.
A stunning antique cloth with such a prestigious connection making it a wonderful piece for any indoor or outdoor dining occasion. I am listing another cloth from the same location in my other items! A fabulous old cloth full of absolute grandeur and Paris charm!
