Very good condition Kempshall, Dunn model patented putter. While living in New York, Willie Dunn recieved US patent No. 745,044 dated Nov. 24, 1903, that covered this putter with the head made from Pyralin, a type of vulcanized rubber. Dunn’s Pyralin putter is center shafted to reduce the leverage around the shaft to lessen the slicing or pulling. Dunn assigned his patent to the Arlington Company of Arlington, NJ. Dunn also recieved a British patent in 1904. This putter is marked,”Kempshall Mfg. Co. Arlington NJ” on the crown. Nice tight fitting brass face plate has only a few light marks on the edges. Hickory wooden shaft is crack and chip free and is straight. I am sure it is the original. Hosel joint is tight. Old leather wrap grip is in very good cond. and it is 11 in. long and tight. Overall length is 33 1/2 inches. More can be read about this club in the book, The Club Makers Art, page 314. This is a rare putter, plus it putts great! Please e-mail . Check out my other items!
