This is a lovely dress for your favourite doll, it’s all original and perfect for your antique French or German Bebe or your little toddler. It is in wonderful condition and dates to around 1910. It has lasted really well. It is in beautiful cotton and is beautifully hand made with a beautiful hand worked lace apron and wonderful embroidery, especially around the bodice. The stitching is amazingly intricate- see photos. It has herringbone stitching all of the way around and the most exquisite pleating all around the bodice and around the frills that go up and over the shoulders. There are teeny pin tucks throughout. Its a really gorgeous dress. It is seen here on Ophelia, my 25″ Jumeau who is used as a model today. She is not for sale. This wonderful dress also has ties that mean that the dress can be altered to fit around the shouldres/bodice. It also has matching cotton ties around twaisthe waist. The beautiful sleeves are soflly gathered at the wrists and have wonderful pin tucks and have tiny lace edgings They measure approximately 8.5 inches long (22cm) to their longest point. The length is approx 14.5″ (37cm) long. The bodice is approximately 9″(23cm) across. This dress has the teeniest mend at less than half a centimetre, very hard to see but I wanted to mention it.
