WITH RIGHT HAND THREAD
Remarks:
This tin has a RIGHT HAND THREAD and the lettering is with a sharp “A”. Shortly after the distribution of the first Curta’s many were returned with the error message: “All functions blocked”. What happened? By screwing the cap with the right hand thread down the rubber buffer pressed the crank down and rotated it clockwise for some degrees. This resulted in a blockage of the adjustable levers which was intended in normal use to protect the mechanics. To eleminate this “error” the Curta tin’s received at this time the well-known left hand thread.
