(because of its size) and complete antique movement for French
mantle clock, manufactured by famous clock master Japy (has his stamp on
the back plate), as I believe, around 1830. The movement has nice
gilded bronze bezel with front door. The movement
was professionally cleaned and oiled, the mainsprings were changed and
now it looks and works perfectly – it runs and strikes on the hours and
half
hours. But during the cleaning the glass was broken; I will give the
convex glass, but it has to be cut a little. The porcelain dial has
imperfection around the center, practically invisible in reality. The movement comes
with the pendulum, the key, the back ring, the glass for front door (has
to be cut to be fixed) and
even the screws for back ring. The opening for the movement is
approximately 3 1/2″.
