photos, let us know! But give us enough
time to answer, last minute questions may not be responded to. We are doing our best to sell items that are consigned and we are responsible to both you as a bidder and to the owner of these items to make sure everything goes smoothly and that there are no misunderstanding.
The items we sell are used and
sold as is as found no returns unless otherwise noted. However
if we make an error in our listing and an item is not as described because we
miss obvious damage or if we state an item works and it does not then of course
we will make it good. But expect normal age appropriate signs of wear and use,
sometimes odors, dust, etc, these items are often attic and basement estate
finds. No returns for any reason after 3 days from delivery, that gives
you time to open and inspect your item but protects us.
We welcome
corrections if you see something is not described
right or is not complete in an auction you are looking at, that gives us the
opportunity to add that information to the auction. Most of the items we sell
are consigned and we may have little or no familiarity with them. Photos are as much a part of the description as the verbal
information and what is in the photos is what is in the auction (except props).
FOR BOX LOTS OR LARGE
LOTS: Box lots are not described or
inspected item by item. This allows us to list items that we would not
otherwise list because their individual value would not be worth it and it
would be too time consuming. We may not
catch some minor damage, but you get a substantial shipping savings over buying
items and paying for shipping one at a time, you get access to more of a
variety of items we would not list otherwise, and sometimes you find a treasure
in the mix! If you have a question on a
particular item we will try to answer it.
SHIPPING INFO:
Specific packing requests need to be made before we pack the morning after the
auction. Give us time to check Fed Ex
and USPS regional rates after the auction to see if we can save some money that
way. Until an item is packed and weighed after the auction we are only
estimating shipping costs – sometimes it will be less than estimated and
sometimes it will be more. A reasonable
fee is added to the exact shipping for all auctions, this fee is based on and goes towards the insurance (all
items are insured thru a third party insurer), delivery confirmation, signature
confirmation on expensive items, packing materials, and the time involved in
packing large lots or fragile items. If a package is lost or arrives damaged our
insurance requires the buyer to sign a claim statement. Do not throw out the
original box or packing materials, they may need to be inspected. If an
insurance claim is denied because you do not fill out the claim statement or
save the packaging it is not our fault. We only ship to the address that is on
the PayPal payment, and it needs to be confirmed or verified. Parcel post packages are often not scanned
along the way, that does not mean your package was not shipped.
COMBINED SHIPPING:
We combine shipping whenever possible. Sometimes the savings is substantial,
sometimes it is not much at all because the box size changes and the rates
change because of that. Some items can’t
be combined safely, or the box size is gets too big and/or too heavy.
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS
ONLY: Sold price can change the shipping method we
will use. Any item that totals over $499.00 in
shipping and sold price has to be sent Express International, and if between 249.00 – 499.00 we
require priority international mail.
The auction sold price is the only amount that will appear on the customs form
as the item value. Any import duties or taxes you may have to pay on your end
are your responsibility and not additional shipping, do not ask us to put a
lower price on the customs form. First
Class International has no tracking ability.
Payment should be received within 5 days of auction
end.
Sales tax is required for all NY
shipments.
