Big Antique Elgin Men’s Pocket Watch.
This antique Elgin pocket watch is 18 size (case diameter 55 mm). The case is nickel silver (“oresilver”) with screwback and screwbezel. The case is very nice but could be polished if you like shine. The crystal is glass and nice with only a few scratches. The movement is gilt and has 7 jewels. Movement condition is nice with just a little tarnish to the gilt in places. This is a pendant set watch. The dial is porcelain and has a couple minor hairlines that you might be able to see in the image. Overall, this is a nice and representative antique Elgin made in about 1891.
This watch runs and keeps reasonable time, and was cleaned and oiled recently.
