This auction is for an antique Emerson Model R-156 mini tombstone table radio in a nice Art Deco style wooden cabinet from 1937.
It is without vacuum tubes, but uses a 41, an 80 rectifier, a 6D6, a 6Q7, and a 6A7.
It does have the metal GOAT tube shield for the 6D6 and all (3) wires for the top-cap tubes are present.
I plugged it in and the dial light comes on when the switch is on. The power cord has been replaced and it has a small modern antenna wire in the back.
The cabinet is in real nice condition and the cloth speaker cover has one tiny hole that is hardly noticeable.
The (3) brown bakelite knobs are in great condition and function as well. The plastic dial cover and surrounding escutheon are both in real nice condition.
Take a look at all the pictures for your best description! This radio is selling “as-is“.
