Antique Vintage Webster’s Dictionary Reference Book English Language 1899 HC OLD!
This is an antique Webster’s Dictionary from 1899. The front of the book says, “An American Dictionary of the English Language by Noah Webster, LL. D.” In then goes on to say that this is the “revised and enlarged” edition. It was published in Chicago by Geo. M. Hill, Co. This has the “flags of all nations in their actual colors” in the beginning. This has those nice indented tabs along the foredge to make flipping to a certain letter a lot easier!
It is 4″ thick!
It is in good condition still, though there is some damage. The covers show some wear, and the covering along the spine is pretty much loose on one side. The binding is still fairly tight and I don’t believe there are any missing pages. Some of the pages have small tears along the edges, and they are a little brittle do to age. Foxing is apparent on pretty much all the pages.
