Up for sale is a vintage Goldsmith Carl Mays pre war 3 finger baseball glove circa late 1920s. Carl Mays gloves are very rare but this 3 finger model makes it super rare. This glove is stiff especially at the tops of the fingers. There are no rips or tears but the glove is rough on the inside palm and into the first finger. On the front of the glove is the Goldsmith name and logo, Genuine Horsehide, the words Oil Treated and a light model number that is either 63 or G3. The last name Mays is clearly visible in the wrinkle on the palm. I am assuming that Carl is before that but deep in the wrinkle to the left of Mays. There is minor piping wear on the back and a great Goldsmith button. The lacing at the bottom of the glove and in the web are not original.
