For your consideration I have an early Tin Candle Lantern complete with the original Tin Match Holder. At some point in the life of this lantern it was painted red. If you check the pictures, there is still some remnants of red paint. I certainly do not think the glass is original. The back piece of glass slides up to insert and light the candle. All the wire guards are stil present. The back panel that lifts up to light the candle never had guards. It measures about 2 3/4″ tall not including the chain. It measures about 14 1/2″ Tall to the top of the hanging loop. The lantern is about 4 1/2″ Square. I am selling with no reserve but will toss out a buy it now option. Once there is a bid the buy it now is removed. Good Luck.
