This large 19th century genuine antique italian oil painting of a classical lady from an old master painting has been cleaned by our professional restorers , so the bright vibrant colours and good quality of this 19th century italian artists work can be clearly seen and appreciated . This large genuine antique classical oil painting of an old master has had some old restortation to the neck of the lady and we have tried to show this as best we can in the photographs . The antique oil painting has been re-lined / re-backed and has been put in a rococo style gesso and gilded frame ( the frame is obviously a lot later ). The frame is a bit distressed with cracks in the plaster corner joints . The actual genuine antique oil painting on canvas was painted by an Italian Naples or Neopolitan Artist called Francesco Martorelli and he has signed this genuine antique oil painting of the classical lady from an old master portrait in the bottom left hand corner of the canvas and dated it 1896 . This antique oil painting is very impressive and well painted in our opinion. There are no holes in the canvas and only signs of one restoration area around the lady’s neck .
