Fresh from a recent estate sale comes this attractive antique stoneware crock. It measures 9″ tall and 9 1/4″ across. Dates to the late 19th century. Wonderfully shiny salt glaze finish. I will start by saying this crock is extremely sound although there are some condition issues. There is a long crack that starts at the base and spiders across a bit. This crack does not go through to the interior side. There is a small crack about 2/3rds of the way up the crock. There is a long interior crack that appears very shallow and does not come through to the exterior. There is a shallow, small (1/3″) chip at the base. Please view all photos.
