This is a unique little piece of sterling silver. Its a collapsing shot glas with a pocket case. I would guess its a prohibition era item. It only marked “sterling” and no maker on it. It appears at on time there was a plate on the top case lid for a monogram at one time as I only see the 3 studs that held it on now. It has a gold wash on the inside.
Condition is cleaned and there is a small scrtched area on the bottom inside on the silver, looks as if someone was testing to be sure it wasn’t silver plate.
The cup measures 1-7/8 inches tall extended and is 1-7/8 inches in diameter at the top.
