ANTIQUE SPELTER FIGURAL LAMP – CLASSICAL FIGURE GODDESS NEWEL POST LAMP 2 LIGHT
Up for your consideration is an Antique Spelter Figural Lamp, Classical Figure of a Goddess? – I believe that this was originally a Newel Post Lamp, the figure of a woman is wearing a long flowing draperies, the ends of her long draperies are being held in her arms above her head, which form a loop, the light sockets are behind the open loops.
Beautifully casted, great casting on this piece, no makers mark that I can find.
Now I do not have the bulbs, so I am not sure what type they would have been, but I am guessing that they would most likely have been a flame or torch shaped bulb.
There is no wiring for this, but the sockets are in position, there is still some residue of a painted finish in spots, but almost all is completely worn, leaving a natural Spelter finish, some light spotting to the finish, no cracks or breaks.
Dimensions: 21 inches tall at the highest point, about 13 inches across the widest point, 6 inches in diameter at base, weight a bit over 9 1/2 lbs.

Winning bidder to pay all shipping & handling costs (packing materials,bubbles wrap, peanuts …) which are included in the shipping calculations. Accepted forms of payment: PayPal – Confirmed addresses ONLY, Payment confirmation thru PayPal must be received within 7 days after close of auction. When possible, multiple wins will be combined to reduce shipping costs. We ship once a week, if there is something that you need shipped right away please let us know. International Bidders please wait for an invoice before remitting payment. We use Fed Ex or the United States Post Office for our shipping.
In order to keep our auctions Fun and Exciting every week, we need to maintain our Detailed Seller Ratings ( 5 Star Rating System ) at their highest 5 star levels. When you get a quote for shipping if you feel it is not deserving of a 5 star rating, we kindly ask you not to bid. We take special care in packing all of our items well so that they arrive unbroken and undamaged, we do have to buy all of our packing materials (peanuts, bubble wrap & sometimes specialty boxes) that we use and they are getting more and more costly just like everything else. We charge a small packing material fee which we put under the heading of handling, the fees vary due to the nature of the items, some require a minimal amount of packing material while others require more. The fees start at $1.50 and up again depending on the item that is being shipped. The packing fees are included in the shipping calculator total.
