Antique Favilla Ukulele
1890
– 1910
This antique mahogany Soprano ukulele was produced by
Favilla Bros. It measures 20¾ inches long.
The paper label attached to the inside reads|: MARCA
AQUILA TRADE MARK REGISTERED
and was likely produced sometime between 1890 and 1910. The
neck has 13 frets with 3 inlaid dots. The ukulele is in good
condition with a raised crack along the side of the bridge (starting
above it and ending at the bottom edge of the body). The front
side of the head stock has a dent between the upper two tuning
heads. There is some light bumping along one edge of the body
near the neck (pictured). I placed a straight edge along the
frets and there is no warping to the neck. This antique
Favilla ukulele would make a great addition to any collection.
