Antique ractable Gold Dip Scroll pen with Jewel John Holland

Antique ractable Gold Dip Scroll pen with Jewel John Holland

Antique I am in the process of moving, so over the course of the next few weeks I will be listing several items including an antique pen and pencil collection that I had started years ago.  I am by no means an expert, but will describe items as best I can and will gladly field questions.
This item is a Retractable Gold Dip pen, that is designed to look like a scroll.  Imprinted at the bottom of the scroll E. Wiley N.Y.  6  (A jeweler perhaps?) Nib is a John Holland Nib marked “Jewel John Holland Cin. O”  Knobs at the end of the golden scroll appear to be wooden.    Interesting snail type pattern in the gold portion is very visible, then in the middle the pattern appears to be a vase with flowers.  Does not have a maker’s mark or writing that indicating gold content that I can find, but does not attract a magnet and is well crafted. I would be surprised if it was not gold.   A beautiful pen.  Some visible wear next to the slider, took picture.  Slider works well, fully retracts and fully extends, but is a little stiff.   Nice craftsmanship.
Dip Pen Measures 4 1/16 inches fully extended and 3 1/16 inches fully retracted.
Please let me know if you have .  I do work during the day, but will gladly answer questions or post more pictures in the evenings.
