This ANTIQUE ORIENTAL JADEITE JADE KUAN YIN LADY WITH WATER JAR is a beautiful light green color! Lady has on a long, flowing gown and she has long, flowing hair which is tied together in back, over half the length of her body. Part of her hair is swept up, pinned, and slightly to the side of her head. From my research, I am not sure if this is actually “Kuan Yin” (which may mean Goddess of Mercy), or if this is a female deity figure, or just a female in a flowing gown. Figurine also has lotus flowers at base of water jar and in various places throughout the scuIpture. Intricate wood base is
included, made exclusively for this piece. Back of base is engraved ”13.” Piece is marked on bottom “+” and 3 horizontal lines of increasing sizes. This piece is from an Estate, brought here many, many years ago. Actual age is unknown. (see pictures for actual
details!)
