For sale is an excellent antique microscope made by the English makers Smith and Beck. The Microscope dates from before 1865 and is in a fine shape. Almost all the original lacquer is present. There are 4 lenses, a live cell, a wheel of stops, a bench condensor, dark cells and several other items. The mahogany case is good, no cracks but no key. The microscope has a text on the foot which reads: James Henry Dible, 29th october 1910.
This is a very nice old microscope in its original box with only a few accessories not present. The movements and rack and pinion works smooth.
