This is an antique 19th century English Fusee wall clock by the well known maker John Carter of London
His name is clearly on the bottom of the lovely embossed gilt dial and also on the back of the movement
The quality is superb of heavy duty construction and chain fusee driven
A beautiful rare carved mahogany case in the shape of a frame with protruding shaped carved middle
It has a slight drop dial trunk to incorporate the fusee pendulum
There is a hinged lower door with locking pin with some provenence information on the inside
there is a hinged side door also
it has a thick bevelled glass front door with heavy cast bezel
It is fully working and comes with its fusee pendulum and key
Its in as you can see, the pendulum rod is a replacement and does the job It measures 15.5" square and the drop trunk drops down 2" x 6" across The depth is 7" and the dial is 9" diameter Its a great clock and by a top quality maker and rare We would like to Thank you for taking an interest in our Item.
