This is an Antique Iron Padlock with a Brass Dust Cover protecting the keyhole . ” U. S. ” is stamped into the Dust Cover . The rivets holding the lock together are hand forged and the heads are not uniform . The Lock seems to be in good condition with surface rust and light scratches. I do not have a key so I do not know for certain if it works yet assume that it does as it is presently in locked position and there is nothing obviously wrong with it. The initials ” E A ” are scratched into the Dust Cover . It measures 4 3/8 inches long by 2 7/8 inches wide by 3/4 of an inch thick. It has come to me from an old farm estate along with another Antique Lock and other antiques & primitive items . I endeavour to have an interesting and eclectic variety of items for sale .
