Estate find – women’s watch – this was the lady’s mother’s watch bought for her on their wedding day 10 – 11 -39 so it has had one owner from new. (see her father’s Rolex is in a seperate auction)
Tests as 9 carat gold.
On inside of gold case “9C in an oval, 61156 ROLEX 28 World’s Record” and 3 0r 4 repair dates scratched in.
Mvement : “Rolex 17 Rubies swiss fab. on large cog wheel :Rolex Princess”
On face ; “ROLEX Swiss Made”
Dial is has painted Arabic Numerals
The dial looks perfect but a little hard to see as the original glass has yellowed with age.
The rear is monogrammed and dated.
Case 11 x 26 mm
The watch appears to wind and set well and keep relatively good time over a day.
Due to the antique nature of this watch I cannot guarantee it’s long term working condition.
I have attached a new Hirsch quality calf leather strap.
