Antique German Magic Lantern Kerosene Glass Slide Projector w/ Burner

Base measures approx 7″ x 3-3/4″. Oil Lamp is approx 4″ to top of burner. Overall height is approx 5 3/4″ tall.
We don’t know much about this projector, so we will describe what we see.
The metal part that holds the lense is ornate and painted black. Some of the paint has worn off. The metal post that is against the back is bent and also has some paint missing. The wood base is in great shape.
The part the slide goes in is a little bent, so will probably have to be straightened out. Some of the paint is worn off this piece also. The tube that the lense goes into is a little loose, but the lense slides in and out without a problem. The lense is pretty dirty and will need a good cleaning.
The oil lamp seems to be in good shape as I don’t see any dents. The burner screws on and off just fine, and also does not have any dents. There is a thin wick, not sure if this is a real wick or not. The wickwheel turns just fine.
Apparently from my research on this projector, there should be a metal piece that fits over the burner, and also fits the curved part of the lense holder, but unfortunatly, that is missing (looks like a barrel shaped metal piece). There is supposed to be a chimney also, which we do not have.
This is an interesting old projector, as I have never seen one before. What a pretty cool conversation piece! Can’t imagine what it must have been like to look at slides with a flame projecting them on a wall or screen!

Payment is expected within 7 days of auction close or purchase date. If you require additional time just let us know, we’re more than happy to work with you. Why Priority mail may cost less
We receive free shipping boxes from the U.S. Postal Service. Which they deliver for free to our location and they pick up the boxes up at our location for free. We save money by not having to purchase boxes or driving to the store to pick them up. We also do not have to drive to the post office to deliver your package. The post office does not pick up Parcel Post packages so we have to deliver them to the post office.
Generally, an average box of 12x12x8 is $1.75 at Staples. A round trip to Staples and the post office is approximately 18 miles. The average car gets about 20 miles/gallon in the city. A gallon of gas cost roughly $2.75/gallon. Not using the Priority Mail boxes cost $4.50 more on average.So we either use Priority Mail or we offer Parcel Post and add a $3.00 shipping & handling fee. In our experience 90+ percent of packages are cheaper when sent via Priority Mail, than Parcel Post with the added expense. Due to fact that we cannot specify a shipping & handling charge on a listing for one service and not the other, the listing will show only Priority Mail. If you would like a comparison between the two services contact us and we will provide an estimate for both. If delivery to your zip code is less expensive using Parcel Post, we will be happy to provide that service to you. This does happen on occasion, mainly with heavier or larger size items. We will do what we can to keep the shipping cost to a minimum.

There is NO real tracking for USPS Priority Mail. If you require tracking, then the item MUST be sent either via UPS or Express Mail.

International shipping times take 3-14 business days but during busy times it can take longer. Additionally, if items have to clear customs that can delay the shipment further. Customs delays are beyond our control and are not included in the estimated shipping time.
