FOR YOUR
CONSIDERATION

ANTIQUE GERMAN KEININGER
& OBERGFELL 400 DAY OR ANNIVERSARY
CLOCK FOR

REPAIR OR PARTS~NO KEY

Now that I’m retired I have time to go thru the boxes of stuff we have
collected and stored in the basement, garage, and attic over the past Forty or
so years.

This clock stands 6 3/4″ high and measures 4 7/8″ diameter. It weighs 2 pounds. The
dome cover is made of Glass. The dial is in great shape. The base has some
wear due to its age (check Picture). We bought this clock at an estate sale, and was told that
all it needed was a Key and a spring wire to run, so I bought and installed a
new spring wire, and wound it with the key from my wall clock, but it still
doesn’t run.

FOR THIS REASON

~~WE ARE LISTING THIS~~

~~ “AS IS FOR REPAIR OR PARTS”~~

Torsion clocks are
usually delicate, ornamental, spring-wound mantel clocks.
The polished clock mechanism is exposed under a glass case or dome, to allow
people to watch the torsion pendulum turn. Clocks of this style, first made by
Anton Harder around 1880, are also known as 400-day or Anniversary Clocks,
because many of them only have to be wound once a year.

Cosmetically this little treasure is in good condition.

Includes only what is photographed
