THIS AUCTION is for a FINE OLD ANTIQUE
ENGLISH STERLING SILVER
BERRY SPOON with a PROFUSELY REPOUUSE BOWL.
Usually these originate as Georgian era
pieces and were then, in Victorian times, reworked, gilted and wa-la, a
beautiful berry spoon.
The quality of the fruits and melons
depicted here are exemplary! The ormolu is thick and without thinning! Clear and
crisp maker’smarks. Always nice.

The spoon is HEAVY, LONG and in GREAT
condition.
Measures 8 3/4″ and weighs 2.8
ounces….
The weight makes this as firm and rigid as
a modern server so it’s very usable.
A beautiful serving piece for more than
just berries. Please remember, this is a larger than normal berry spoon. Most of the berry spoons, chased and repousse like this are 7 1/2″ or shorter and weigh only 1 1/2 ounces or so.
This spoon is a heavier and longer piece. A true server.

determined by your location. We use USPS for 100% of our shipping. Insurance is
required and included in the shipping & handling fee per ‘s policy. If
you notice a quoted fee that is higher than you think it should be, consider
that insurance is approximately $1 per $100 and we have already integrated the
insurance fee into the shipping fee for the item based on our final value
