Very rare antique Chinese late Qing / Ch’ing Dynasty lady’s kesi / k’o-ssu surcoat / jacket decorated with cranes and flowers against red ground. The robe, including both cuffs and trims, is mostly woven in silk tapestry with minor painted or embroidered details. Fully lined with patterned brocade fabric.
Late 19th to early 20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition, signs of wear, minor splits on sleeves along folding lines and under both armpits.
Measurements: Cuff to cuff 140cm; armpit to armpit 65cm; collar to hem 109cm.Pant
