Antique Red and Black Painted Snuff Bottle
This interesting, antique snuff bottle came from a small collection that I bought from a local estate two weeks ago. It is
carved from the natural material encourages us to call oxbone. It is signed on the bottom, but I cannot read it.
The painting is very nice as is the design, red on one side, black on the other and both colors on the top.
Not sure exactly where this type of bottle was made, but my best guess is China. Condition is excellent, it has sat protected in the collector’s cabinet for at least 40 years undisturbed.
