ANTIQUE CDV PHOTOGRAPH
Sad and poignant antique black and white CDV photograph measuring about 6-1/2" tall by 4-1/4" wide. Featuring a young boy laid out and slightly propped in a chair with bear skin cover, he wears his finest suit with ruffled collar and matching ruffled eyelet cuffs – his short pants have tiny side button closures and he wears tall lace up shoes over wool socks. Posed as if sleeping, his placement is rather awkward, causing his legs to dangle a bit over the front of the chair. Condition is good with no tears or holes – there is a bend on the bottom left edge that does not impact image and minor overall soiling – I think this was once seated into an album as I can see a faint dome shadow above his head from a paper frame – never glued – image is by WINT out of Allentown, PA. Moving post mortem for any collection or display.
