ANTIQUE C19TH BRASS BOUND FIGURED WALNUT STATIONARY BOX
Measurements: 9 inches (23cm) long x 7 inches (18cm) high x 4 3/4 (13cm) wide
Excellent burr walnut dome top stationary box with exceptional colour and patina, Brass strap work, original blue silk lining to inside of lid, original white lined compartments for letters etc (showing a bit of wear), working key. NB. Picture 2 looks as if the side of the box is faded – it isn’t, it’s the photo, the colour of the wood is terrific, probably most accurate in picture no 1.
Condition : Good. One replacement stud on brass work at back, barely noticeable. Brass would do with a clean if you like it like that.
