Offered today is a terrific antique Bohemian Garnet brooch. It is designed into a crescent moon with a large star or starburst. The brooch is so lovely with faceted bohemian garnets set in a low karat gold, probably 8 or 9k. The brooch measures 1 1/8″ tall by 1 1/4″ across. There is one garnet that is sitting a little higher out of it’s setting, at first I thought it was a replacement, but after looking at it, I don’t see any glue residue and it looks like it just wasn’t set in as well as the others. It is still there and it appears secure. I just wanted the buyer to be aware of this! It’s nothing that hinders the look or wearability of the piece. Overall the brooch is in excellent antique condition!!
