The only markings I could find on the inside brass works are: 4 1/2 and made in U.S.America and an ST inside a diamond-inside a circle. This clock does NOT have a pendulum or key. I borrowed both (from Grandpa) and had it running for about 3 days. It chimes and gongs on the half hour and on the hour. It was about a half hour slow after the 3 days. I do believe that needs adjusting after shipping anyway. The lion’s heads handles, the bases of the pillars, the feet, and the bezel are all in a copper finish. The glass in the door is thick and beveled with no scratches. The clock face is discolored with a shiny bright ornate center and edge ring. There is a ding in the case about 4 1/2 inches from the corner on the top edge (see photo) and one on the the corner above the left leg (when facing). There are minor rubs along the bottom front edge not noticeable until put on its back or at eye level. Somebody didn’t know about the knob you turn to open the back and cracked it in two. This just needs a “Clock Guy” to clean, tweak, polish, and restore that beautiful scrolling and faux green marble.
