Antique 1800s CAST IRON PUB BAR TAVERN DOOR STOP Old Tom Gin “Don’t You Tell”

Antique 1800s CAST IRON PUB BAR TAVERN DOOR STOP Old Tom Gin “Don’t You Tell”

Antique Up for your consideration is this unusual antique cast iron door stop.  The drunken English figure is standing over a barrel of Old Tom gin and along the base it reads “Don’t You Tell”.  We are unsure of the exact age of this door stop – but from what we’ve gathered from Internet sources and a few antique dealers, it most likely dates to the 1850s.

Overall, this door stop is in very good age-appropriate condition.  Please note that the words along the front of the base are not very legible and there is a good amount of rust on the back of the door stop.  We noted no cracks or missing pieces.

It stands 16 1/2″ tall – the base measures 11″ by 3 1/2″.  It weighs 16 lbs.

We will insure this during shipment.
