is a size 18 antique American Watch Co. pocket watch model 1857 (3rd run) with a P.S. Bartlett movement. It is in very good condition considering its age, circa 1868, comes with its original key for winding attached, and has recently been serviced. See below for details:
Dial – The white porceline dial is in excellent condition with blue metal spear style hour and minute hands, a subdial for seconds, black Roman numerals, and signed American Watch Co. It is 1 5/8″ (41mm) in diameter (minus the case) with no hairline cracks.
Case – The silverroid case has no major dents but has some light scratches and marks that might come with age. Each piece opens to a 90 degree angle and snaps tightly when closing. The outer case is marked “Keystone Watch Case Silverroid 8892015”. The inner back case is marked “Guaranteed Silverroid Genuine 8892015”. The pocket watch weighs approximately 5.4 oz, minus the key and chain.
Movement – It is a mechanical (key wind up) movement in good condition marked “P.S. Bartlett Waltham, Mass. Foggs Patent 419125” and has 11 jewels. The attached key to wind it and set the time is original and patented Sept. 1874.
Crystal – The glass crystal is clear with no scratches.
Over all this pocketwatch is in excellent condition considering its age (see pictures below). It has recently been completely serviced so I guarantee it runs and keeps good time. See my feedback and bid in confidence. Your money refunded if watch is misrepresented.
